AudioManage: Features
Searching for tracks

AudioManage features a built-in, high-speed search engine which finds tracks quickly and efficiently. It's possible to locate tracks by searching for title, artist, album, comment, and even lyrics. You can even search for words appearing in the filenames. Note that unicode is supported even in the searches.

Since most people have fairly large collections, a search can result in a large number of results. AudioManage groups the search results as best as possible, in artist or album folders. Tracks which cannot be grouped are shown as files. For example, if a search results in several tracks with the word 'love' in them, and all tracks by 'Jim Reeves', the search engine will automatically group all tracks by 'Jim Reeves' into a folder, while showing the other tracks separately. This makes it easy to organize and manage the tracks.

Seach results in AudioManage can also be saved for later use. AudioManage saves each search as a 'live search folder', conveniently accessible right in the main folder list under 'Search Results', as a folder. Whenever you want to re-run that search, simply open that folder and AudioManage automatically reruns the query and displays the latest set of results, instantly. These custom folders can also be copied to CD, used as playlist, etc.
