There are some known issues with Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). For details and fixes/workarounds, please read the FAQ on Windows XP SP2 support
Update: Most people have reported the problems to have been fixed since version 1.20i: if you are facing problems with your current installation, please upgrade to the latest version.
